Spring in Washington D.C. - DORO DC Designer style

It is finally Spring in Washington D.C.

I was driving back from a much needed visit with my upholsterer in Fairfax Station, Virginia.  I have worked with him for many years and always find interesting new furniture designs when I visit.  Back to my drive...the trees are blooming every where I look.  Daffodils are up and many flowers are not too far behind.

Residential Interior Design is blooming as well.  It is wonderful to see so many people investing in their homes.  I love my job, especially when my clients are happy.  One of the little girls I am designing a room for commented that her carpeting was the best she could have ever imagined.  It makes me smile now just typing it.  This has been a big project and will continue for a while.  One of the reasons I like these clients so much is, they are invested in making this house a home their children's friends will want to "hang out in" ...as they grow through their teens.  It will truly be a fabulous, fun and beautiful home when it is finished.

I always say, "Inspiration is everywhere".  I grew up in New England where Spring is not too far behind......Take a drive around the D.C. area this week or wherever you live......  I promise you will not be disappointed.  Spring has sprung.

The fireplace is right at home in the Spring
and Summer season.  It warms a neutral space.  Notice the touch of fresh greenery to the left.

Sunny yellow, HELLO!
