Dorothy Clicking her heels....Eclecticism in a New Home

The home began with the need for new flooring, paint and lighting.  Great bones and the abundance of redesign keeps my mind busy, always and everywhere.

I tell clients and friends, " It is not finished yet..."  I know it, whatever "it" is, will never be finished.
ONE OF MY Inspirations - A SETTEE FROM WEST ELM
www.westelm.com

A large room requires varied seating areas.  Two of these facing each other took care of one area of the room.

TUFTING

THE TEXTURES AND STRIPES...HMMM!

GRAY IS A MUST!

I LIKE YOUR STYLE!

THIS ROOM DOES NOT NEED A SECTIONAL BUT, THIS IS NICE.  I LIKE THE WHITE LAQUER COFFE TABLE.

AND HERE IT IS!

IT SINGS!

THE BLACK VELVET CHAIR ON THE LEFT IS AN OLD WING CHAIR I HAD REUPHOLSTERED

LIGHTING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!

THE DINING AREA ON IT'S WAY TO MID CENTURY MOD COMBINED WITH CLASSIC DETAILS
THE OTTOMAN ADDS COMFORT BETWEEN THE SETTEE'S AND IS USED AS A COFFEE TABLE FOR ENTERTAINING

ANTIQUE MORROCAN TRAY AND A SILVER TEA SET

A VIEW FROM BLACK VELVET

TESTING IT OUT!

THAT PATTERN FROM THE ARC LAMP LOOKS LIKE HEARTS...LOVE IT!

GRAY, SILVER, BLACK, RED, WHITE AND TIGERWOOD, PERFECT!
THIS IS THE LAST PIECE, GRAY AND WHITE STRIPES WILL CONTINUE DOWN THE WALL BEHIND THE CHAIR.
MORE TO COME!  I LOVE THE GRAY!
Design is evolution.  Design is the pursuit of balance.  Design is texture, color, light, rhythm and a personal touch. Integration of existing pieces and an infusion of the new items brought together to bring harmony.  A room should sing!  This room does indeed.  But, it is not finished yet......
